2025 Sustainable Finance in Fixed Income Conference was held on April 9, 2025 and was hosted by the Fixed Income Analysts Society with support from the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business.

The theme for this year’s conference was:

Navigating and advancing sustainable finance in a changing political, economic, and technological landscape.

The conference is organized around keynote addresses and a series of four moderated panel discussions covering these topics:

  • Resilience & opportunity: What are the macro & micro risks, challenges & opportunities in the light of the US presidential election results.
  • Innovations in sustainable debt instruments and markets for climate finance: Achieving scale.
  • AI and other financial technologies to advance sustainable finance: The plusses and minuses.
  • The role of private-credit markets in progressing the climate agenda.

We held lunch breakout sessions where participants were encouraged to network and discuss with experts from the conference to sharing ideas and their views.  We had 7 breakout table discussions which were as follows:

  • Table 2: State of the Global Energy Transition – Lead by: Herbert Crowther, Analyst, Energy/Climate/Resources at Eurasia Group
  • Table 3: AI issues – Power Sector – Lead by: Robert Chiang, Ph.D. Professor, Marta Mooney Distinguished Research Scholar in Business, Information, Technology, and Operations, Fordham University
  • Table 4: Resilience & Opportunity – Lead by: Shiva Rajgopal, Ph.D. Kester and Byrnes Professor of Accounting and Auditing at Columbia Business School
  • Table 5: Sustainable Muni Bond Indices – Lead by:  Rachael Camargo, CFA, Senior Index Sales Executive, ICE Fixed Income & Data Services
  • Table 6: Sustainable Finance & High Yield – Lead by: Amy Levine, CFA, Director of ESG at Shenkman Capital Management
  • Table 7: Investing in America Agenda – Lead by Justina Gallegos, Former member of the National Economic Council
