Theresa Torres

Theresa Torres is the Chief Belonging and Inclusion Officer and OMWI Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  Additionally, she is the Vice-Chair of the Federal Reserve System’s Subcommittee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In her role, Theresa provides oversight of the Bank’s Inclusion and OMWI initiatives, partnering with colleagues across the Bank to build a culture of inclusion. Prior to joining the bank, Theresa was the Senior Director Global Advisory Services at Diversity Best Practices where she advised member companies within the Financial and Technology sectors on DE&I strategies and best practices. Theresa’s background includes a range of Inclusion and Talent Acquisition leadership roles including, Head of Campus Recruitment/Early Careers Hiring at ADP, Director of DEI/Workforce Performance at Verizon, VP of Diversity Recruitment at Lehman Brothers and Global Markets/Investment Banking Director DEI at Merrill Lynch. Theresa has been actively involved in development and education within the Hispanic Community having served on the boards of ASPIRA of New York, 100 Hispanic Women, and as President of the ALPFA New York and New Jersey Chapters. Theresa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior from Concordia College.
