James Roland Gillespie is a partner and co-founder at Greywolf Capital Management LP. He previously was head of distressed bond investing at Goldman Sachs, where he ran the proprietary distressed bond portfolio on the trading desk from 2002 until his departure. Gillespie has significant experience in analyzing, valuing, and investing in distressed securities as well as managing a large portfolio of distressed investments. He also has experience actively participating in the workout process as both a committee member and large creditor. Gillespie is a CFA charter holder. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with honors, from the University of British Columbia in 1995 and is a Leslie Wong Fellow.
