Craig Parmelee is a Managing Director in Standard & Poor’s Corporate and Government Ratings division. In 2010, he was named to the position of Lead Analytical Manager and Head of the North American Financial Institutions ratings team (excluding insurance). In this role, Craig is responsible for directing the analytical activities of the department, including ensuring the quality of research and the ratings process.
Craig joined Standard & Poor’s as a credit analyst in 1998, initially following companies in several industries including consumer products, media, gaming and lodging. In 2002, he was named team leader for the U.S. leisure and media team. As an analyst and team leader, Craig has spent much of the last 13 years leading analytical initiatives in his sectors and communicating with the marketplace. Craig has spoken at many industry events, and has published extensively.
Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, Craig spent ten years in the U.S. commercial banking industry, most recently as a vice president with State Street Bank & Trust Company. In this role he was primarily involved in credit analysis and lending.
Craig received a B.A. in Finance from Fairfield University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
