2025 Sustainable Finance in Fixed Income Conference will be held on April 9, 2025.

Hosted by the Fixed Income Analysts Society with support from the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business, this in-person full day event, with a virtual attendance option, will be held at the Fordham University campus in mid-Manhattan.

The theme for this year’s conference is:

Navigating and advancing sustainable finance in a changing political, economic, and technological landscape.

The conference is organized around keynote addresses and a series of four moderated panel discussions covering these topics:

• Resilience & opportunity: What are the macro & micro risks, challenges & opportunities in the light of the US presidential election results.
• Innovations in sustainable debt instruments and markets for climate finance: Achieving scale.
• AI and other financial technologies to advance sustainable finance: The plusses and minuses.
• The role of private-credit markets in progressing the climate agenda.

Each panel discussion includes time for audience Q&A and, at the end of the day, there is a short networking reception. During the conference, we will also be announcing the winners of the 5th Annual Student Research Competition on Sustainable Finance in Fixed Income.

The luncheon break will feature stations to be organized around discussion led topics of interest. A few examples under consideration include but are not limited to:

• Expectations regarding the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) under the Trump administration.
• Outlook for ESG investing
• Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) technologies state of play
• Pricing carbon.
