LiberatoreStephen 149040BSTEPHEN M. LIBERATORE, CFA, Senior Managing Director, Head of ESG/Impact, Global Fixed Income Nuveen.

Steve is the lead portfolio manager for Nuveen’s fixed income strategies that incorporate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria and Impact investments. He is also a member of the Investment Committee.

Steve served on the ICMA Green Bond Principles Advisory Council and was a member of the initial executive committee. He is a member of the UN Capital Development Fund’s working group on Climate Resilient Infrastructure Finance and serves on the UN’s Joint SDG Fund’s Blue Economy Investor Advisory Group. He also serves on the Steering Committee of the Orange Bond Principals and Sustainalytics’ Investor Committee. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and a subject matter expert across media outlets. Steve and his team were awarded “Investment team of the year asset manager” and “Fund of the year fixed income” at Environmental Finance’s (EF) 2023 Impact Awards. Previously, Steve and team were recognized as “Investor of the Year” (EF 2020 Bond Awards) and “Impact Report of the Year (for Investors)” (EF 2022 Bond Awards).

Steve graduated with a B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.B.A. in Finance and Operations from Wake Forest University. He holds the CFA designation and is a member of the CFA Society of North Carolina and the CFA Institute.

Knutson DavidDAVID KNUTSON, CFA, Senior Director of Strategic Outreach for S&P Global. David joined S&P Global from Schroders where he most recently worked as the Head of US Fixed Income Product Management after joining the firm as Head of Integrated Credit Research. Before moving to New York, he helped establish the US asset management business and led the research initiatives for global financials and emerging markets for Legal and General in Chicago. Prior to that David was responsible for financials research at Mason Street Advisors, the investment adviser to Northwestern Mutual.

Before joining the buy side, he worked at UBS in risk management, debt capital markets and liability management and earlier started his career at Bank of America as a credit analyst and later as the research manager for Latin America. He is active with the CFA Society of New York and the Fixed Income Analyst Society. Before leaving the buy side, David was Chair of the Credit Roundtable, a member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s Standards Advisory Group and participated on the advisory councils of several rating agencies.

He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager and Chartered Market Technician designations and was a Rotary Scholar at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires and also attended the University of Glasgow while earning a Master’s in Finance, Economics and Foreign Languages and a Bachelors in International Studies and Political Science with Minors in History and Foreign Languages from Iowa State University of Science and Technology.

Golant AlinaALINA GOLANT, CFA, is a senior fixed income strategist and is a specialist in high yield credit. With 20 years of experience in fixed income research, Alina offers deep expertise in credit analysis and has strong knowledge of a variety of industries, including energy, energy transition, basics, airlines, shipping, among others. Currently, Alina leads high yield research for the UBS Chief Investment Office Americas. In her role, Alina provides recommendations in bonds and preferred securities and advances CIO’s high yield strategy. Alina joined UBS in February 2021. Prior to her role at UBS, she worked in sell-side research at BNP Paribas, Barclays, and Scotiabank, providing investment recommendations and trade ideas to clients and the trading desk.

Alina is a CFA Charterholder since 2009 and is a member of the CFA Institute, New York Society of Security Analysts, and Fixed Income Analysts Society (FIASI). She chairs FIASI’s membership committee and holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. Alina graduated magna cum laude from New York University’s Stern School of Business, majoring in finance and honors economics and was the winner of the Jules B. Backman prize in economics. Outside of work, Alina is an avid skier and enjoys hiking, boating, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Erin LyonsERIN LYONS is a 20-year veteran of the credit markets, Erin's experiences as a fundamental analyst, strategist, and portfolio manager have enabled her to be well versed in markets, sectors, and its participants. Currently focused on corporate and client strategy at CreditSights, her time on the sell-side (Citigroup, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank) and buy-side (Brigadier Capital Management) throughout her career allows her to focus the company's efforts on client needs. Originally from Iowa, Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a mom to three.
