Ajay Rajadhyaksha is a Managing Director and Head of Rates and Securitised Products Research at Barclays, based in New York.
He assumed his current role in March 2012. Previously he was Head of US Fixed Income Research, and Head of US and European Securitized Products Research and Strategy.
Mr. Rajadhyaksha runs a research group based in New York, London and Tokyo that analyzes all interest rate and securitized markets, including inflation and nominal sovereign debt, interest rate derivatives, mortgage-backed securities in the US and Europe and other asset-backed securities. He and his team have consistently been ranked in the top three in nearly every category in the Strategy and Economics disciplines and the Structured Securities areas in Institutional Investor’s All-America Fixed Income Survey for the past several years.
Mr. Rajadhyaksha joined Barclays in 2005 as a Senior Mortgage Strategist. Previously, he spent several years at Bear Stearns, where he started in Mortgage Strategy before moving to the Interest Rate Derivatives Strategy team. Mr. Rajadhyaksha often speaks to the media on the areas his team covers, and is a frequent presenter at both Barclays-sponsored and industry conferences.
Mr. Rajadhyaksha received a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a master’s degree in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona.
